I was doing my bible study this morning and was reading John 13:1-17. In this series Jesus prior to the last supper is taking time to humble himself and wash his disciples feet. Although He is God in the flesh He humbled himself enough to wash their nasty feet. Wow, can you imagine if a CEO did something like that or even a supervisor. Jesus showed that although He had every right to talk or look down on them, He stayed on their level and even lowered himself to the level of servant. This rung true to me as I embark in a new adventure as district chief. I pray that I remain humble with my peers and always use tact when dealing with the matters that will inevitably arise. I pray that God helps me to always taste my words first not only with my coworkers but all I encounter both at work and at home.
