I was driving this morning taking the kids to school singing in the car, and one song in particular caught my attention to the point that I could no longer listen to the radio anymore and I start to rethink things in my life. The songs name is He knows my name and it says that ...I dont need my name in lights, In famous in my Fathers eyes, Make no mistake, yeah He knows my name. Just like that, I started thinking in how since I came to America, I have always lived my life in the Pursuit of Happiness, its true. I grew up poor and didnt need much other than, food, clothes and schooling, but now, Im always looking for the next high the next thing. Just a month ago I was perfectly fine with my iPhone 5, then the 6 Plus came up and all of the sudden my Iphone 5 became a piece of crap, I had to have the 6 Plus. I live in a house with 6 bedrooms plus a guest room, but my husband and I were recently looking for a better house, Whaaaaat??? I had BMW, a mustang and an Audi but still I want a corvette one day...it never ends...whats with this spirit of discontentment, that even with all these amazing blessings God has given me it still isnt enough??? If you make for an exemplo 50k a year, do you know that you are 1% of the wealthiest people in the world??? We are rich!!! Compared to any other country in the world we are! But why the the continuation of this pursuit of happiness?? Why not just be content? Why do we need to climb one more corporate letter? Have the newest car? the smartest phone? I honestly dont think is nothing wrong in having some things But I will no longer let things have me. Im already rich, because one day Im gonna close my eyes on this earth and open it in heaven, Im rich because Im sinner and yet He loves me. That reminds me of Story of a 25 year old Millionaire named William Borden. One day while on a cruise around the world for fun, He said to his friends “I know God is calling me to be a missionary.” so William attended an Student Volunteer Movement conference, where he learned about the great number of Muslims in China. He felt God wanted him to go to China to work with Muslims, so when he graduated from Yale, he had many lucrative job offers, including the opportunity to take over the multi-million dollar family business. However, he was determined to fulfill God’s call to serve as a missionary. So, he opened his Bible and wrote two words – “No Retreats.” William set sail for China. He stopped in Egypt to study Arabic so that he would be better equipped to minister with Muslims. While in Egypt, William contracted spinal meningitis and died at the age of twenty-five. Later on they found His bible with two more words it said No regrets on it. Now I imagine how amazing it was for William to open His eyes and see a great proud Father looking at Him in heaven :-) and that folks, thats what I want. The word of God says that in Matthew 6;21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also and today my heart is taking another direction. Just decide to share with yall. Have a great day!! youtu.be/ZtlDVleJBtA
