I was fishing on Elstree Reservoir with Bill Lucas. We were fishing away from this punt, and a car drew up on the bank, and the people started waving and shouting, and calling for me. So we thought, Oh blast! Who are these people? Were fishing. Anyway, we rowed to the bank, and it turned out that somebody had dropped dead or something on the set, and they said, Come on, youre on! Youve got to go to the studios and do this part. Heres the script! And they thrust it into my hands.
