I was following the 4th ODI match between India and England in cricinfo and read those interesting comments from the followers, interspersed among the official commentary, that brought analogy of cricket with swimming. Very interesting and entertaining. Pick your best (if you can pick only one) Englands focus on long format reduced their attacking skills for shorter format, which is totally opposite to the Indians who focused on shorter formats and losing their patience and passion for longer formats. One team good swimming in the sea, other in a swimming pool.. ..Australia and SA continue to ace swimming overall.. no wonder they win so many medals at the Olympics Australia are good swimmers in the sea and the swimming pool, but not so much the bathtub. pakistan are good swimmers in sea, pool and every where.. but the problem is they always swim under water..... West Indies meanwhile are brilliant in the bathtub - Though I doubt Pollard and Gayle can fit into the same one.! ;) I guess countries like Canada just stand in a puddle and watch people swim saying One day! Indians cough up 80% of the pools maintenance ;) ..do not forget the SLankans. Tough nuts they are! They can swim even on land. Americans take one look at the rest of the world splashing around in the water, shrug their shoulders and jump in their speedboats, racing each other for the World Championship. In a parallel universe, users of a professional swimming website would be making up analogies like Phelps scoring 8 centuries in a single World Cup.. :) Here comes our Olympic gold medalist swimmer who is struggling to qualify for Common wealth games!! --referring to Kohli entering the ground after Rahanes exit. Talking of water, England would hate watching Titanic tonight.
