I was given the number 11, 8, and 7, so here are 11 things you might not know about me. Like my status to receive your number. 1. I love the color pink. In the second grade I had a Thumbelina doll all dressed in pink. I took her to school and lost one of her little socks. 2. My two children and I were all in college at the same time (one or two years). 3. I love to write, and when I write in a journal, I like to start my entries on the last page and write from back to front. My English teacher in college wanted me to study English. 4. My house burned to the ground when I was a child. I remember the ashes of my teddy bear. 5. A retiring psychiatrist and mentor gave me his office chair. A lot of magical things have happened in that chair, he said. 6. I lived in Hiroshima, Japan for two years, teaching English. 7. I laugh at myself and my own jokes, hysterically, at times. Just ask my children. No, I do not hear voices. :) 8. A favorite movie is Chocolat. It teaches compassion, love, acceptance, forgiveness, understanding, and not judging others. Johnny Depps pony tail is awesome, too. 9. I love both road and mountain biking, although I havent done much of either lately. 10. Met Bill Murray once. Told him I liked his hat, and he told me he liked mine. 11. The first time I heard a Vietnam vet tell his story, I prayed that Id have ears to hear for a long, long time. Im still listening.
