I was going to post this on someone elses wall, but decided to use my own... just because. No other reason or ulterior motives, its just part of who I am. I read a friends post earlier today (I will share it later) and it got me to thinking. Too much thinking for me can be a very, very bad thing. Not this time, no harm and no foul. Let me cut to the chase... Our political system is a wreck and in need of some major overhaul. From a lack of integrity to disastrous division to scandals and scandals about the scandals. The media does little to nothing to keep us informed. If you watch the major networks you can be guaranteed of bias, with bad news bias being at the very top of the show... err, broadcast. Contrary to what Colonel Jessep said, I believe we can handle the truth. If only someone would forget about ratings or getting re-elected and tell us the truth, wed be so much better off as a people and a Nation. Here in FB Land I have been unfriended more than once because I try to get people to stop posting unsubstantiated, cute little pictures with quotes by one idiot or another. Its one thing to post something as humorous and fun, quite another to post something aimed at keeping our country divided along party lines. Yes, I said party lines because its not about policy or issues that can be discussed, its about keeping this party or that in power. News flash - not everyone in either party is 100% correct all of the time and neither is everyone in either party 100% wrong all the time. But I do believe as long as you and I continue to perpetuate these idiotic pictures, as long as we continue to attack parties and people rather than discussing who/what is working, we will continue to have the Professional Politicians we elect. Are we willing to work together to leave our progeny a Nation at least as good as the one we were given? From my more idealistic days.... Bob, sorry you missed this.
