I was happy to announce today funding for Fairmounts early childhood nutrition education program as part of the Obama Administrations #PromiseNeighborhoods initiative. I introduced the Promise Neighborhoods Act last year to codify this program because I believe that every child deserves the education, health care, and support network necessary to carry him or her through from cradle-to-career. I am thrilled that Fairmount received this critical funding and look forward to working with the community to ensure that this health and wellness program is a success.
