I was having a discussion with a PEACEFUL person. He or anyone from his community never fail to astonish me with their wit and wisdom. This is how it went. PEACEFUL : There is so much unrest and violence happening across the globe. ME : Yes, very much. What do you think is the reason for that? PEACEFUL : The basic reason is the lack of uniformity. ME : What do you mean uniformity? PEACEFUL : There are too many differences between people which result in hatred and killing. ME : Thats true but how can uniformity be established? PEACEFUL : Very simple. People must unite and should have similar practices all over the world. ME : Practices like? PEACEFUL : Like God, when everyone prays to same god, everyone follows the same principles, similar clothing & similar culture, etc. the world will be peaceful. ME : Thats wonderful. Why dont we start that between we two? I worship Lord Ganesh and lead a Hindu lifestyle, Indian culture and Im very comfortable at that. Why dont you do that too? PEACEFUL : How can that be possible? Theres no other god but mine and practicing anything other than my religion is forbidden but you can practice my religion and pray to my god.
