I was having lunch with a friend who told me about Dr. Bhandarkar and how much he helped in diagnosing her condition and treatment and simply giving her life back to her. I made an appointment that afternoon to see Dr. Bhandarkar. Mentioning the urgency of my situation, as I was scheduled to have yet my fifth surgery on my sinus I was able to wait a short time to see him. I was in pain, often with an elevated temperature. I was taking Advil and sometimes a prescribed pain medication. Everyday it was getting more difficult just to do the everyday things I enjoyed doing. Sometimes you are not aware of just how poorly you feel physically. I had been on a constant prednisone regiment for months. Dr. Bhandarkar examined me and worked with me for several weeks going through all the conventional regiment. When nothing else worked we agreed that the best course was a surgical one. I am so grateful that sinus endoscopy worked. He used my CT scan like a GPS to go into my sinus and remove the polyps as well as tissues that were diseased. Getting home and recuperating was less than a pleasant experience for the first few days. Dr. Bhandarkar was basically ready and willing to make sure my recovery was steady and that my sinus would stay healthy and healing. I am confident to say Doctor Bhandarkar is extremely knowledgeable in his field and that his clinical interests served me extrodianarly well. I feel so grateful for his care. His follow up is amazing, and like everything else he is the best ENT. For me Dr. Bhandarkar is the best Otolaryngology doctor. He is located in Irvine and is also at UCI.
