I was heading for my car through the BJs parking lot when I watched as the shopping cart jostler -- the guy hired by the store to get the carts abandoned all over the lot and bring them back to the front of the store, over and over again -- tossed an empty battery package out of the cart he was jostling. Even though he has a laundry basket attached to his cart collector for the purpose of picking up trash as he goes, he dropped the package on the ground. So lets follow the chain of events here: Someone was in need of batteries, so they went to BJs and bought a package. In the parking lot they opened the package, presumably installed their batteries in whatever required them -- I assume not their conscience -- and then left the empty package in their cart. Then the cart jostler came, picked the package out of the cart, and casually dropped it on the ground. I cant conceive of the kind of brain required to make any of these actions okay. Is there somewhere I can move which wont, every time I leave my house, make me cry like Iron Eyes Cody in that TV commercial?
