I was honored to sing at the viewing last night and at the grave site today, a new song for Megan Simmons, the 14 yr old who, along with her best friend, Jazmine Shelton, was killed in a drive by on 8-10-13. Jazmine, 13, whose "Homegoing" service was last week and Megan were the inspiration for "True Friends"...(Megan and Jazmine), a ballad of hope and to honor their friendship and their Heavenward journey together....(another needless tragedy in our town).....thanks to the Justice Coalition for their coordinating the services, which I am proud to me a volunteer for....May the Lord bless and comfort the two families, many new friends I was blessed to meet this weekend.....Mark Ray......(PS:Diena Thompson, courageous mother of the late Somer Thompson offered her blessings & comfort to the families involved in the new tragedy)
