I was in a tough situation this week. So basically the cremated remains of my pet cat Snickers were being delivered to me via UPS. Problem is I work all week and live alone and keep missing the delivery attempt and after three failed attempts Snickers would be returned to the sender. (MSPCAs pet cemetery). I arranged to have my package held at the UPS facility, its in Brockton, I would have had to fight traffic from Boston after work and make it there by 6pm. Without me even asking for help my friend Gina offered to take the drive this afternoon and get her while I was in work and she did just that. To me, this is huge that I can count on someone, a friend, to take care of something like this for me. I write this because recently some close people in my life, acting on judgment questioned our friendship and really upset me. Truth is Gina is a special friend and it certainly takes a special person to do what she did for me today and I am forever grateful for it. Now I ask why wouldnt I want to keep this person close?
