I was in tears yesterday carrying this pitiful dog to the vet. No telling how long he has been suffering. Hopefully now his suffering will end and he will heal and blossom. He is about 10-12 years old high heartworm positive has sarcoptic mange that is contagious to dogs and humans secondary skin infections and eye infection. So sad to think just how long he has suffered. There really wasnt anymore room to take him in but I found a spot in my living room for him. Hes on meds to treat his skin condition and anti inflammatory for his old bones. We are taking a huge leap of faith but I just couldnt turn my back and let this one suffer anymore. Now that we are reaching freezing temperatures Im so happy hes not out in the elements just waiting to die.
