I was in the Philippines for 10 days recently checking on our post-typhoon projects. The video below shows the damage to one school that we were unable to rebuild due to contamination caused by a oil spill nearby. Despite the carnage, the local kids play in the playground and a tent has been set up for class graduation the next day. Resilience and faith in a better future are what seems to be holding people together - it was a sad and humbling experience.
