I was in the hospital a night and saw a woman, she got stabbed and was beaten badly by her boyfriend and he took her children. She made me write this its my latest poem Visual In your eyes shown scars of pain and history of abuse But you choose hide it and make an excuse Amongst your friends and family Not giving them a glimpse from the image of your reality Only presenting an illusion of the imagery That youve pictured perfectly in your mind As you recognise there’s always a next time Every time you keep it a secret His tone traumatised every bone within your body As you quicken to fulfil his command of duty But you dont want your reality To frame this picture or capture your horror within every tear He raises his hand and you quiver in fear Is there anyone who can help me out there? Too scared to let everybody know What he’s really like behind a closed door While he puts on a show To ensure that nobody sees that side of him In him lies a monster within leaving you in excruciating pain You kept wondering why he keeps abusing you again and again And next morning you pretend that had happen the night before In your eyes lies so much more I saw your heartache and strain The reasons why you held onto him It’s mostly because of your children You want them to be raised in a home where both parents are in He’s abusive and you only studying How much your children will hate you for leaving That he’s a good father to them and you’re not working So if you decide to leave tonight Where would you put your children? When you went against your entire family for him How would you feed them? I know you want out but it’s seem like youre trapped in But from the starting you werent listening to your conscious speaking Holding up a red light warning before you were planning your happy ending So Listen I dont want to hear he wasnt always that type kind of story Study where would their mother be Six feet under in a summitry or would she live to tell her children the story You tell me © 22/7/2014 at 3::45pm WOMEN Stop taking abuse for every excuse
