I was in the parking lot of a business trying to get back out in traffic. I needed to turn left, so I had to wait on the heavy traffic coming from both ways. Nevertheless, the traffic going in the opposite direction (right) was slower and I saw that I could easily get into it...but the oncoming traffic (left lane) was heavy. Finally, I got impatient and turned right. My plan was to go to the red light, get in the turning lane and make a U-turn. As soon as I turned, I realized Id made a huge mistake. The traffic now looked as if it was slowing down, and had I waited just a minute later, I would have been able to turn left easily...but because of my impatience, I ended up having to travel in the wrong direction, get into the turning lane, and then wait for the other traffic to die down before I could turn around. I ended up losing about five minutes because of this unwise move. What does this say about our lives? We oftentimes get impatient and prematurely run into places that GOD hasnt opened for us yet. Instead of going through the doors, we end up going through the windows (like thieves), only to see the door opening for us. But because we came in the window like a thief, we have to be sent back out to repent (which means to turn our hearts and minds back to GOD). This causes us unnecessary delays, and many people end up walking through doors in 2019 that they could have entered in 2014 had they just waited on GOD. Be patient. You cant rush GOD. Every season is going to play out the way GOD has called it to play out, and if you try to hit fast forward, GOD will hit rewind on your life and cause you to start all over again. Living in today, as the WORD tells us to do, is to simply hit Play and let life play out the way it should.
