I was invited by Danielle Sappleton to share three things Im grateful for each during the next 5 days. We all know Im grateful for my family, friends, and for life itself. So with that being said... 1. I am thankful for being American. Many times we get discouraged with the society we live in. But honestly, theres corruption in every government, every country, and in every civilization. When I think of all that our fellow brothers and sisters face in third world countries, it makes me appreciate the work that my ancestors put in. Things are far from perfect here but I am grateful to have been born in a highly developed country, to have been born in a country where opportunity does at least exist, and to be born in a country where I can raise my voice and actually make a difference. 2. I am thankful for my talent. People often take the arts for granted. This is one of our biggest downfalls. We must learn to truly value and appreciate art for the gem that it is. I have been in lots of classes and plays and have auditioned so many times, and it was only recently that I learned how fortunate I am to have been given an artistic ability that I am naturally good at. Although any art can be taught and any person can study and become good..it is truly a blessing to be born great at something. I hope to use my gift to create visuals that will help shape the world into becoming even better for humanity. 3. I am grateful for my freedom of style. Through my personal journey to self-discovery, I have learned that I truly enjoy expressing myself through my style. I love wearing little clothes. Not because I hope to attract men, but because I am a sensual woman who has been blessed with the beautiful body of a woman. I love to show my beauty in all ways, despite how society may try to label me. I love wild hair because...why should I keep it neat? I love bright lipsticks and I wear them often despite society saying my complexion is too dark for such colors. I love crazy patterns and vintage clothes and basically, I love throwing on all kinds of crazy stuff! I nominate TayLaur Paige, Shanelle Martin, & Shae Rowe to participate in this and share their gratitude as well!
