Please do participate...after all, youve been chosen :) ON AGING Time passes barely noticed by me it has become like a bad cheque written in good faith but unable to be honoured I sit upon my bed as if a raft in a still river going nowhere Huck Finn stalled in time and not a worry of dead bodies it is my place now I hold court a baffled overseer of a great plantation I have freed the slaves and the whistle-walk leads to an empty summer kitchen if I mourn from time to time its of little consequence for Im watching from a distance a two-dimensional picture of a girl willing to dance but the ballroom is closed the grand piano and settees swathed in sheets the chandeliers once blazed with dangerous flame but now only their old brass glows and sweeping staircases lead to echoing rooms.
