I was invited by Tyrone Graham to participate in this poetry - TopicsExpress

I was invited by Tyrone Graham to participate in this poetry event. Simply post a poem written by yourself, or any author you like, and tag me as the inviter, so Ill get to see it. At the same time, tag some friends. Most people tag between 5-10 others. I have another invite to do yet, and too many Id like to hear from, so will have to do more:) (Tyrone, am I doing this right? Bc I cant see what your other invitees write...) Also...a few of you may notice, I did this last night...but I wasnt happy with it and deleted. So please just start again. Please do participate...after all, youve been chosen :) ON AGING Time passes barely noticed by me it has become like a bad cheque written in good faith but unable to be honoured I sit upon my bed as if a raft in a still river going nowhere Huck Finn stalled in time and not a worry of dead bodies it is my place now I hold court a baffled overseer of a great plantation I have freed the slaves and the whistle-walk leads to an empty summer kitchen if I mourn from time to time its of little consequence for Im watching from a distance a two-dimensional picture of a girl willing to dance but the ballroom is closed the grand piano and settees swathed in sheets the chandeliers once blazed with dangerous flame but now only their old brass glows and sweeping staircases lead to echoing rooms.
