I was invited this past Sunday evening as a Guest Speaker on Love and Relationships on a prominent national radio station. A white guy called in while we were live and asked what qualifies me speak and teach so authorotatively on Love and Relationships. He accused me of being a BEE and Afirmative Action guest speaker and that the radio station wanted to gain some points by having me onboard. I boiled with anger on this personal attack on me while my complexion turned from being brown and became red like a tomatoe. I took a deep breath and was forced to respond politely to this fool because I saw that his aim was to insult, discredit and humiliate me on national radio. In a gentle and loving tone I told him what qualifies me to teach on Love and Relationships with authority. I told him I have a Post Graduate in Psycholgy which special focus on Clinical Psychology. I have a post graduate degree in Theology. I have done various subects on Conflict Management on Post grad level. I have done my post grad studies in Human Rights. Ethics has also been my field of study for many years with a special focus on Public Morality on post grad level. I informed him that I was not a Guest radio speaker because of BEE or Affirmative Action but because of my qualifications, credentials and experience of over 10 years teaching on this subject. My strong educational background in these various sciences combined with my calling and personal experience makes me to speak, write and teach authorotively on the subject of Love and Relationships because I have mastered on how to use my education, background and experiences to good effect. After telling him this I could hear how this guy started to swallow his pride and arrogance and dropped the phone. Im realy astonished to see how some people are still caught up in the superiority complex and think only those with a certain colour can teach and speak authoratatively on certain subjects. However, I am fully aware than many white people dont feel like this fool.
