I was issued Woodland pattern in 1985, and after a slew of washings and the customary iron-starch-iron-starch ballet, you got a wearable, long-lasting, excellent BDU uniform, the starch enabled the uniform to last longer than it was designed. The last of our veteran combat NCOs liked the camouflage structure, chopped colors. I understand the Armys need to camou up to something different, but were back to square one with this new ACU; doesnt seem all that different from Woodland. Someone in the E-rings a dress whore. * Miss the old days ... * ;-)
