I was just driving home with my mom and my three siblings when we stopped at a traffic light. A street vendor came up to the window to sell my mom a newspaper, so my mom pulls out 50 rand to pay for it (obviously expecting change for what was a 15 rand newspaper). The vendor then gives us the newspaper, says thank you very much and runs off with the money in his hand. I then jump out of the car and proceed to chase him down the street and after catching him, engage in mortal combat in the middle of the road over the cash all the while people in their cars around me are going bazerk and hooting like crazy. Eventually I dragged him back to the car and manage to pry the cash out of his hand. Amazing how some people will attempt to take advantage of others even when they are trying to help them out.
