He has conveniently edited, slaughtered, and posted selective message. Here is the original E-mail. Furthermore he has no authorization to post, reproduce, or share. Fiji has been under Military Regime since December 6th, 2006. During the take over and immediately there after the Military had done a good job in bringing security and safety of the citizens. There were a lot of changes which were made and hence all citizens were than treated equally and fairly. This lasted till 2009. The interim Prime Minister Rear Admiral Josaia Vereqe Bainimarama did a fabulous job in mandating fairness and equal rights for everyone. After 2009, there was a change in administration within the regime. The group that supported the Prime Minister were sidelined by the Attorney General Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum. He basically took over the helm. Nepotism became the order of the day. A small group of the AGs family is now running the government from behind the scene. Bainimarama is now just a show case. 2013 Constitution is tailor make for this regime and is not Will of The People. The constitution is shoved down the citizens throat. Dr. Yash Ghai a prominent Constitution expert was hired to come up with a new Constitution. The Constitution was written up after public consultation and presented to President Ratu Epeli Nailaitikau. It did not meet the regimes likeness. The Constitution was than burned. The Attorney General than came up with a Constitution to suit him. The regime has announced that there will be a General Election on September 17, 2014. We made careful assessments and consultations with my colleges in Fiji and have decided to contest the election. We were going to form a new party and call it Fiji Freedom Party. In mean time we received invitations to join other parties. After a lot of discussions and looking at different scenarios, I have decided to join SoDeLpa. SoDeLpa is former SDL party which was over thrown by Bainimarama. I am fully aware that SDL was a Right Wing Party. It is my intention to turn the party around to be more moderate. Under the present circumstances this is the best thing to do. Fiji Labor Party is going to be defunct or pretty much non-existent after the Leader Mahendra Chaudhry is sent to prison on May 3rd. NFP has not not won a single seat in past 20 years. The leaders of NFP refuse to leave and give new faces a chance. I do not want to bet on a losing horse and be any part of it.
