I was just noticing that in all the looting and destruction taking place in St. Louis these past few days, not one single pair of work boots, gloves, tool belts, hard hats, or back supports were looted. As you can imagine Im surprised at this little nugget of truth as Im sure those things would have come in handy for those wanting to change their lot in life wouldnt you think? If that cop is found to have killed that young man for any reason other than fearing for his own life or the life and well being of others then he should be prosecuted for capitol murder. Unarmed citizens should have the reasonable belief in their personal safety in the presents of a police officer no matter their color or any other relevant distinction. The only way to ensure that reality is to hold peace officers to a higher standard than those they serve. As a leader of men in the Marine Corps I was held to that higher standard and if you are not capable of reaching that standard then you have no business being in that profession. That said we need to not rush to judgment either way until there is evidence one way or the other. But someone please explain to me again how plundering you own neighborhood improves anything for you? If you are old enough to remember Watts, a blue collar working neighborhood back in the day then you will know that dozens of people died, hundreds of homes and businesses were destroyed and in the end every large business and the jobs that went with it locked up and moved away and to this day 5 decades later it remains a economic desert. Go ahead St. Louis cut off your nose to spite your face....... just sayin.....
