I was just reading about the Americans that are stranded in Cabo after Hurricane Odile hit. There are a lot and I mean a lot of complaints about no American aid or help to get these tourists out of Cabo. Ok, several days before this deadly hurricane struck, there were warnings that Odile was coming and evacuations were ordered. Extra flights were added to get all out who wanted out. The people who are complaining are the 15,000 who decided to stay, some w kids. This was your decision. It was being forecast that there would be mass destruction and loss of life. You tourists who could leave and refused played Russian Roulette. My tax $ should not pay for aid to get you out of a luxury resort because you ignored evacuation orders. Youre on your own. There was plenty of warning. This was not a sudden natural disaster, like an earthquake. If it had been, then Id be in full support of helping tourists get out. But not in this case. Get home when you can.
