I was just saying to Nancy Mooney Gretchner last night at ORourkes that I never took my eyes off my kids when they were in the ocean. Im at the beach. Next to me are two women with young kids, 2 boys, 2 girls, oldest maybe 7. They are very much involved in a discussion about when underwear is not appropriate. Seems to me it is pretty much always appropriate and necessary, but what do I know. Seems they feel women should not wear underwear under their little spandex gym pants ( really?) and another woman was dissed for wearing underwear with a dress (REALLY?) While they are involved in this riveting discussion four children ages 3 to seven are in the freaking water without parental supervision. The oldest comes up and says Sophia cant get in. What? the woman says, he repeats it. Not registering...........holy crap. So he tries to be more explicit. He says she is kicking and kicking and she cant get in and shes over her head. I have not moved because I jumped up when I first heard Sophia cant get in, but saw another stranger with the brains God gave a goose already going after this child. Sophia was maybe going into Kindergarten. I could have choked them both. I wanted to say try wearing underwear more often, might make you a better mother.
