I was just sitting here this evening when I had the urge to start digging out my side patch. I moved the slabs the bins sit on up closer to the gate a few months back to expand the strip. Its got about 6 builders sand sitting on hardcore so Im digging out the sand and filling with compost. Its shallow so Im limited in what I can grow. Ive had an idea of a whimsical Alice in Wonderland inspired garden for a while. Grown up garden round the back, a bit of fun at the side. I have a big teacup planter so Im thinking toadstool, teapot, drink me bottle, windchimes, lanterns and the likes. I have jasmine to climb the fence, thatll probably need to be potted, maybe some alpines and such that wont need deep soil for roots. All suggestions welcome!
