I was just sitting on my couch looking around my living room, and I have to smile. This room is indicative of the rest of my house ~ a decorator`s nightmare. I have treasures hanging on the walls in the form of family photos. There is a huge wooden plaque that says FAITH, FAMILY & FRIENDS that I treasure because the back of it contains messages of love from m church family in Carver, MA. There is another wooden sign that says LOVE SHACK painted for me for this house by Robert Rutherford, my Pastor, Brother & dear friend, also with a message on the back. And there is a pair of silver Angel`s wings given to me last Christmas by a very special young girl named Abigail Joy. The desk I`m sitting at belonged to my Mom, as did the China cabinet and most of its contents. And, of course, Mother`s Prayer Bench. Very eclectic. But I don`t decorate my home in the usual sense. I collect treasures and memories, and surround myself with them. Today, the memories have carried me home and made me realize how much I miss home and family & friends there. So I sit here and remember, and the voices of the past echo down into my soul and make me smile.
