I was just so struck by something I read in my devotion today, that I just have to share. Its from a devotion book written by the Duck Dynasty family. In it, Phil shares the scripture about Jesus and the woman at the well. He tell the woman, I am the resurrection and the life.......whoever believes in me will never die. Do you believe this? Then Phil goes on to say that whether we realize it or not, we all base our daily transactions on the assumption that Jesus DID live, because we all count time by Jesus-even the atheist. It is 2014 A.D.-anno Domini, a Latin phrase that means in the year of the Lord. And then I also thought about time, how we also mark it before Christ- B.C. The human race has two time frames-B.C. and A.D. EVERYTHING is counted according to the life of Christ. So let me ask you this----why would we mark time by someone who never existed? If He is not God, why are we marking time by Him? Its because He IS the resurrection and the life. Like Phil says, Many historical figures have impacted life in this planet, but humanity only counts time by one! So if you dont know Jesus as your Savior, let this be the year that you let Him change YOUR life-----for all of eternity!
