I was just speaking to a co-worker about my experience traveling to Cuba, and hes a guy who has done a hell of a lot of traveling around the world, as a solo traveler. He told me that he went there once and he would never go back. He said its a beautiful country and he loved the place but didnt think it was a good place to go too alone, which is exactly the experience I had. I felt more like a charity then a tourist on vacation, there to have a good time. I said to myself while I was there, Here I am again, always doing nice things for others and being over generous, but nothing nice ever happens for me. Im tired of this shit, crappy deal. Yup, I felt like a charity while I was there. I made a lot of people happy, but I wasnt one of them. A trip that was only suppose to cost me $1100.00 ended up costing me $2000.00 and I walked away with nothing from it. So if you have never been to Cuba, dont go! Youre not missing much! For the extra money go somewhere else and enjoy yourself. Its like this guy from work pointed out, If you are going to starve for one week then the rest of your vacation better be worth going through that. In my case, it wasnt!
