I was just telling Sahar that I missed going to sites, missed the smell of cement and sand, missed meeting the people - having been deskbound this past year. Therell always be misperceptions about them. Respect is universal. Just a smile, hello or a nod of acknowledgment and they automatically take care of me like a sister, even when Im there for a one-hour site test. And I will treat them like my brothers. Ive eaten their catered food and Ive rested alongside them at void decks. Ive had photos of their babies back home on my office wall cos to them, Im the aunty. So please respect them as a fellow human being working hard to survive and support their families back home. Sure there are a few bad apples - but the locals have rotten apples amongst them too. Still human, right?
