I was just thinking......... My husband likes to question. Hes a head person (Im a heart person). He loves knowledge and facts and has a tendency to retain a lot of trivia, also. During his Christian walk - approx. 25 years now - hes been labeled a Doubting Thomas by many of those hes questioned in church. At times, I confess - more-so when I was a man pleaser - I wished he would be silent and keep his questions to himself and just go with the flow without rocking the boat. However, with God having to wrestle me away from the feet of man, Ive come to see my husband is not what hes been labeled by many leaders. His doubt does not rise from a lack of faith in God or Jesus. He trusts them both. Its man he has questioned - and rightly so. My husband is not a leader - and has never held the desire to be one. But hes not one to follow after man, either. That used to bother this old man-pleaser (me), but now I see Tim more clearly, and through Gods eyes. He is a man of God, and not a lesser one because he doesnt bow to man and their interpretations or agenda. He has his eye on Jesus - and, therefore, I gladly walk with him, knowing hes got my back, heart, and family covered, even when life (and the occasional leader) has tried to knock him down, tie his hands,make him feel like hes drowning, and wanted him silenced. He deserves better than hes often received - even from me. Thank you, Tim O Driver - my very own Mr Wonderful - for being you, for loving me and our children, and, above all, for following and trusting Jesus.
