I was just thinking of something. We have folks who claim they’re patriotic to this country. Dont ask what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country type folks. They will support the troops and have even served this country by joining the armed forces themselves. They claim to love this country with the utmost passion, correct? Yet, although I can understand to a degree that everyone should pull their weight, they complain about paying extra taxes even if they make sufficient to do so. There’s talk of how we may still be headed towards another depression despite how things look at the moment. I wonder if those who claim to be down with this country will fork over and pitch in to get the country out of debt regardless of who’s in the White House, or is it only if you get your way that you’ll support? (Sounds un-patriotic and selfish to me). Their talk is big but at the end of the day they only truly care about what’s in their pockets. Yeah, they’ll argue the fact that we have many mooching off the system collecting welfare and not contributing back..etc, etc, yet they won’t move to another country and be done with this one, they’ll just stay and complain over helping this country get out of debt! Yet…they’ll put down those who are illegal… but work, and those who live in impoverished situations, and those who commit crimes to survive but don’t accept that they are just as guilty. They turn their backs on this country because they’re too busy concerned with the things they disagree with to the point that they’ll let this country burn to the ground before they help it to survive. Although I hate the history of this country and believe that it still does not care about me or my people…I will contribute by paying extra taxes if that’s what’s needed to help us all survive another depression era cause this is where I live. I earn my living here. It’s where my family and my homies live. It’s where I grew up. I couldn’t bare to see my people suffer through a depression where it was difficult to even eat! If I move to another place, I will call that place my home and contribute there because It’s only right. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t believe in any of our past administrations or even the current one, not because I think they’re sheisty but because the machine is too big and no one will ever change how this country operates. Now I don’t claim to be a patriot, but If you claim to be a patriot of this country… check ya self ‘cause you may be a poor representation of what you claim. Yup!
