I was just watching a news story about a rancher in Nevada and the federal government are trying to take his cattle for unpaid grazing fees , Im not going to argue the grazing fee but what I would like to argue is the fact that the government says they own the land . As far as I know or have known the federal government doesnt own any land they may oversee or set aside certain parcels but the land actually belongs to the American people . A lot of people think that those of us who fight to maintain our right to bear arms or any other right and believe we have reason to distrust the government I would offer this simple example as proof that we need to be cautious and keep our eyes and ears open its we the people not we the government .
