I was laying down and watching one of my favorite ministers on tv...and a thought came to my mind. Counterfeit or someone or something that looks almost identical. lets say for example you know me as a person very well, and someone came to you and said I am Becky, but you know me well and you know my ways...you would quickly identify an impostor or someone who is trying to counterfeit the original. In the book of John chapter 10 v 14 I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine. If you get to know who Jesus really is and what he is all about you have searched him out first in the word of the living God. Jesus is the word of God. God has given us the ability to KNOW him. He also has given to us his Spirit, the Holy Spirit. He bares witness to us of our Father. In these times it is very important that we know our Great Shepherd. You need to get to know him so when he speaks to you as it is written in the word Isaiah 30:21 And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left. you will know that you are heading in the wrong direction. In Psalm 34:13-15 13 Keep your tongue from evil, And your lips from speaking deceit. 14 Depart from evil and do good; Seek peace and pursue it. 15 The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, And His ears are open to their cry. Psalm 119:105 (KJV) ” Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path “. If you read the Holy scriptures then you are getting acquainted with our Lord Jesus Christ.
