I was listening to NPR on the way in to work this morning and they were talking about the Jacobs family of Buffalo. Jeremy Sr. is retiring, handing the reigns of Delaware North to two of his sons. In an offhand comment they mentioned a third son who runs another of the family businesses, out of Boston. He runs the TD Garden where the Bruins and Celtics play. The family owns the arena, I believe. As it should be. I love the Bills. I dont want to pay for a stadium. I want stadiums to be privately owned, so that we have more money for education and infrastructure and things that shouldnt be privately owned. If a stadium is privately owned, it will be better utilized, because there will be incentive to keep it in use and bring a variety of programming. There is no incentive to do that when the taxpayers foot the bill.
