I was listening to a Malcom X speech and immediately thought of all of todays people. He was blaming the black Americans for not doing what they needed to do for themselves and depending on the white man to do it for them. He was talking about owning those businesses instead of expecting the white man to do things for them. He blamed it on the very black people who allow this. I replaced his thoughts with todays lame voters. Here we have a chance to help our neighbors and ourselves by voting the right people in and patronizing our own community. Instead, we seem to patronize big business and not our own neighbors, and we keep the same damn idiots in office because we either dont show up to vote or certainly dont help the right people to get in office. We are in control of our own destiny, but we seem to give that control away to people that couldnt care less about you according to their actions. You believe their words and then dont make them accountable. So really, whos fault is it that we are in the shape we are in. Stop blaming others and take a good look in the mirror.
