I was listening to a NDTV debate on CHOGM 2013 anchored by Bharka Dutt. It is a very interesting debate, when I analyse, how politicians or people who have this dominant knowledge use certain cards at certain time. Some of the conclusion that it suggests are: India too commits Human Rights violation so lets not point fingers at CHOGM (here the individual actually believes that he represent the term India, as if he or she is responsible for its foreign policy, take the responsibility of the whole India); second analogy, people who die there (Sri Lana) are not Indians so what could India maximum do? (here, he or she has truthfully accepted that they could voice only if something goes wrong within Indian boundaries, of course they dont voice - it is just a card that they use to get their hands washed off); Third analogy, a lame one, India should not bough down to Regional Politics (here India is Delhi - Central government, and Tamil Nadu is taken out of India, I dont think the card of devolution of power to states doesnt work here since it is against the interest of the centre); Fourth analogy, as per Indias foreign policy, it should not interfere in internal affairs of other countries (I dont who helped in creating Bangladesh from West Pakistan and also who nurtured LTTE, its this same Indian government, you use different cards based on your interest); Fifth analogy, who killed Rajiv Gandhi? (but the card of why he was killed is not been raised?); Sixth analogy, in the entire debate the issues of the margins or people who lives in the borders have never been raised (as if India was there right from evolution of mankind), it was circling right around Delhi. The position was very clear that they are concerned only majority and people who are minorities and who lives on the margins, we dont give a shit.
