I was listening to a radio programme yesterday night when a girl called and requested for a song for her fiancee. Presenter: Good evening, welcome to Mid-night Cruise pls whats your name and where are you calling from? The presenter questioned Girl : Good evening sir! My name is Bukola calling from Ikorodu Presenter: How old are you? Girl: Am 24 years old Presenter: Are you married or do you have a fiancee or a BF which you want to dedicate a romantic song to? Girl: ...laughed.... Am not yet married but i have a fiancee and hopefully well get married soon, hes my world and everything i love him so much... Presenter: Wow! So much love in the air. So, what song do you want to dedicate to your fiancee? Girl: Pls play me Aye by Davido Presenter: I dont get you, i mean you should select a romantic love song for your fiancee Girl: Yes, thats what i want. I want Aye by Davido thats the romantic love song am dedicating to my fiancee The presenter paused for some seconds, laughed and said ohk Ill play you Aye by Davido for your fiancee, have a beautiful evening. * * * Love songs has evolved tremendously this days. I recall when i was very young, am this guy that love cool music, infact, most of my collections are RnB genre... Phil Collins, Celine Dion, Cool and the Gang, R-Kelly, Boys 2 Men, Joe, Kc and Jojo, Luther Vandross, Lionel Richie, Brian Adams, Tony Braxton, Whitney Histon, Kenny G etc... This are the type of music i play for my girlfriends then. When they come to my domain, i take them to another planets with this lovely collections and they love it so much. This days... Its something else, guys dont play romantic music anymore. Music has evolved to the extent that any music is classified romantic so long the lyrics of the song talked about a man and women. Imagine a guy taking his girl to a date in the sea side and hes blasting Skelewu for his date? Damn! What happened to those lovely music???
