I was listening to channel two weather channel along with k57 and a caller asked why wasnt a Typhoon Shelter designated for the village of Malesso. It is sad that our High Government Officials failed to recognize and take into consideration our fellow residents down south. The caller made a good point, that Malesso village has two roads connecting to two different villages, and that either road are low lying areas when during any Typhoon would be dangerous and risky to travel, due to flooding sea waters and waves generated from the typhoon. The designated typhoon shelter closest were in Agat, and Talofofo. We have gone through so many of these typhoon to have had a plan already in place and yet an important Emergency Support Service was not designated for our friends and families way down south. In the absence of so called leadership and failed planning, is when the Mayor(s) of the village make that important decision to designate and open a shelter for their village with out approval from the top leaders who apparently forgot about them.
