I was looking around the Pacific Ocean on Google Earth today for a hint as to why the area near Mexico was heating up and found alot of interesting information I didnt realize. One of the things I found was a little info tag that was left on map, and it was about the acidification of the ocean in those parts and it said that 40% of C02 contributing to global warming is in the oceans. Im guessing, and thats not good, but Im guessing that when people talk about climate change, they think about what is in the air. Its not just whats in the air. One of the things the oil companies try do when pumping oil from deepwell rigs is to store a lot of the CO2 from the drilling, beneath the ocean floor. That is a massive amount of CO2 being released and stored in our oceans. And of course that effects the PH of the water and that change in turn effects the biology of the ecosystems. Just from the little bit of research that Ive done, I can see that with the volcanic activities, and the C02 storage from drilling, and pollution, among other things why that area is heating up. This isnt a blame game, because if we really wanted to get down to brass tacks, we could blame it on the entire industrial revolution. This is a search for solutions.
