I was looking at Pinterest this morning and saw a pin on how to plant a tomato. I clicked on the link to see if I could gain some wisdom. I have to say...there were a lot of steps involved in planting a tomato. Im not knocking what works for others or what method they choose. Im just saying that its not for me. growbetterveggies/growbetterveggies/2012/04/how-i-plant-a-t.html When we gardened in the ground, I took off the bottom leaves of my tomatoes, turned them sideways and buried as much of the stem as possible to ensure a big root base. I added amendments to the soil, although I did not gather fish heads from my local meat market...lol. My tomatoes grew okay. Some were as tall as me. The problem was, I didnt get many tomatoes and by July my garden was mostly dead and overrun with weeds. TOO HOT outside to care! With Garden Anywhere Box, its SO MUCH EASIER to grow tomatoes. Fill your GAB with potting mix, add dolomite and fertilizer. Cover with plastic and add a tomato plant. Make sure the water reservoir has water and watch for tomatoes. Thats it! Whew! Seriously, thats it. The first picture below is of our German Queen tomato plant from this past summer. I planted it May 1, 2014. This picture was taken July 1, 2014. No planting sideways, no amendments except the dolomite and fertliizer, and...no fish heads. The second picture is of some cherry tomatoes. They were planted on June 1. This picture was taken on July 20, 2014. We harvested LOTS of tomatoes this year. Since I can garden on my back deck, I go out early in the morning before it gets hot. I dont weed. I dont worry about watering because of our watering system. I check to see what is ready to harvest, fill my basket, take a picture and come back inside. When we gardened in the ground the weeds, heat and watering (too much/too little) would get me every time. These things are not an issue with Garden Anywhere Box. You CAN garden in a box. You can garden in your socks. You can garden here...or there. You can GARDEN ANYWHERE! gardenanywherebox
