I was looking at the rosters of the Castro vaGiants in 2010, 2012 and now 2014. They have such different rosters from 2010 to 2012, and from 2012 to now. I dont get it. Its not like they have the same dominant front rotation or shutdown bullpen. Wtf? This current San Francisco Giants team has 16 players currently on the roster that were NOT on the 2010 World Series team. Of those players, 12 were also not on the 2012 team. Of 13 remaining players that currently on this roster and 2012, there are 4-5 players that were rookies, utility players, middle to back end rotation pitchers or middle relief guys not really used in high pressure situations. Buster Posey and Pablo Sandoval are really the two main guys that were core players and starters on both teams. Other players such as Brandon Belt, Madison Bumgarner, Sergio Romo, Joaquin Arias and Brandon Crawford were either rookies, utility players, back end starters or they have diminished roles now. The recent success actually speaks more to vaGiants manager Bruce Bochy and the coaching staff more than the players. Bochy and crew keep getting guys to fill in spots and maximize talent. Its actually impressive. Too bad its the vaGiants. I mean, Brian Wilson was the closer in 2010, Romo in 2012 and neither is the closer or effective now consistently. Bumgarner was good in 2012, but he wasnt the ace or even second guy. Melky Cabrera was a legit NL MVP candidate in 2012 before he was suspended for PEDs shortly after the All-Star Game. The team had a better record after he was gone. CF Angel Pagan and 2B Marco Scutaro are considered the heart and soul of the team. When they play, the vaGiants are noticeably better. Scutaro has been out all year and Pagan hasnt played since late August. The pitching staff lost Barry Zito, ace Matt Cain, and former 2× Cy Young winner Tim Lincecum has yet to pitch in the 2014 playoffs. Despite all these loses and turnover, the vaGiants somehow keep winning. I dunno why Im friends with you idiots. Lol I freaking hate the vaGiants!!! #FTG
