I was lucky enough to make a career out of doing something that I love- making people feel beautiful! Hair dressers work their butts off catering to the public! OUR time is valuable! Most of us dont work on an hourly schedule - we work continuously until the job gets done- Ive done hair till 1:00 am starting my day at 9:00 am. ( I usually dont work that early) lol, we went to school for a year straight, 2,000 hours of training & school is not cheap, we had to work 2-3 other jobs just to get through school. We dont really get sick days, or holidays off! It may seem like we charge a lot of money, but when you break it all down its really not! I wish I could just do everyones hair for free and give give give, but I cant do that We have 4 children to provide for, my work is everything! Its hard when you have good friends and a lot of family, you want to cut everyone deals all the time but in the end you are screwing yourself over. If you would like a free color, send me five clients, to my loyal clients who I appreciate with all of my heart - every 6th color is $6, every 4th haircut is $4- I even offer payment plans if needed! Please dont think beauticians are money hungry people, this is our JOB
