I was lying here resting and my mind went back to an incident that happened today, while I was out. My daughters wanted me to tag along with them to Wal-Mart Super Store, so I did. I was looking at some clothes when I noticed a little girl pointing at me ... she had a puzzled look on her face. Then, she tapped the teenagers that she was with and pointed again at me, the teenagers began to mock and laugh at me because of vitilligo. My daughters wanted to take this matter up with them ... but, I told them NO. and that the teenagers were just ignorant. But, I thank God that He healed me from people who will look down on me ... think of me as hidious or ugly. I am the way God created me ... not from the beginning ... but, after He had got to know me, and watched me handle all the assignments that He brought me through ... He allowed me this assignment and this too shall pass away, in Gods favor. Still the snickering and pointing fingers doesnt bother me half as bad as, the concern that one day I wont be able to hold my family off. (Its not fair that I cant go out in the public and be left alone.) Usually, it depends on what side of town I am in ... but the devil will not still my joy! I am going to get out as much as possible ... Ive got things to do! I pray for others with vitilligo ... Father: please give them the strength to combat ignorance and stupidity. And the courage to take their lives back and live them to the fullest. And also, the knowledge to know that You approved our look, You even created us ... IJHRN ... AMEN.
