I was nominated for the ALS ice bucket challenge, but due to the fact that I am unable to regulate my body temp from my illnesses and I have an active infection, my hubby stepped up in my place. My Viking man was unmoved and what isnt in the video is that puppy was in the splash zone and since he is a Russian dog, he loved it!! On a serious note, in my career I have worked with people who had ALS. The one that stays with me is my first ALS patient when I worked for Hospice as a newby Social Worker in grad school. The only thing he could move freely and without difficulty were his eyes, he was end stage. Its been 18 years and I can still see his face and remember they were some of the kindest, intelligent, and smiling big brown eyes I ever seen. Please consider learning about this terrible illness as well as donating to help find a cure!!
