I was nominated for the #alsicebucketchallenge by Trevor Stuart. For those of you interested in seeing a softer, shittier body than his on the internet, Im sorry to disappoint you, but Im going to do something a little different. Ill be donating $100 (on payday, because new home + expensive rent + baby = broke) but $50 of that is going to fund ALS research at als.ca/en/home. The other $50 will be going to thewaterproject.org/. ALS research is getting a lot of funding because of this, but its not the only charity doing good work. To those of you actually dumping ice water on your heads: Please dont take my donation to a clean water based charity as an affront to your videos. Go nuts. With the support, and the backlash, everywhere regarding this craze, I figured Id just get to the root of what this whole thing is about: Giving to those in need. If everyone REALLY wants to see me in cold water that badly, I promise to jump in a Nanaimo area body of water of consensus choice, ON CAMERA, IN JANUARY, provided $1000 overall is donated to charities as a result of this post. Im not going to nominate anyone specific. You all know if you can afford to give. Donate where you feel appropriate.
