I was not 100% happy with the VSWR on the scan master on my roof so I decided to make up a quick fix antenna. Wow look at the results and it will do for now until the 2 meter beam arrives. Scrap or not but dont underestimate these old antennas. This antenna is fed by mini 8 coax. The antenna looks a bit unsightly with the PVC tape in various points on the top element (at the joinings) but thats because I dont want the weight of the antenna pulling it out of shape because it is hanging vertically. Obviously if it did the SWR would be changed.
