I was numb the whole ride back from Tupelo last night, but Im surprisingly calm this morning in the light of day. Woke up & fixed a good breakfast of bacon, eggs from our own chickens & pancakes with homemade chocolate syrup. My babies woke up smiling. Matt had a good nights rest. My mom is here for a visit. Were going to get through this together & with prayer from many precious people. I know God has blessed me & that from everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded. And from the one trusted with much, much more will be expected (Luke 12:48). Well choose to view Matts heart surgery, not as a crisis, but as an opportunity to grow closer as a family & closer to Christ. To witness for Him about what a mighty God we have for a Heavenly Father. A Lord who takes care of His people as Psalm 16 says: Protect me, God, because I trust in you. I said to the Lord, You are my Lord. Every good thing I have comes from you .... The Lord is all I need. He takes care of me. My share in life has been pleasant; my part has been beautiful. I praise the Lord because he advises me. Even at night, I feel his leading. I keep the Lord before me always. Because he is close by my side, I will not be hurt. So I rejoice and am glad. Even my body has hope, because you will not leave me in the grave .... Matthew Bishop & our families & I know God will not forsake us in this time of trial.
