I was on the road recently and I made the mistake of listening to conservative talk radio. Its kind of mind blowing the type of vicious and venomous-bullshit that comes out of their mouths. When they were talking about Michael Brown (the kid shot in Ferguson), they described him as thug, a savage, a low-life, and a monster. They praised the cops and go off on the kid like he deserved to be shot. They also say racism has nothing to do with it since Obama is now president. They hate Obama. They hate all Muslims and Arabs and they despise liberals and their liberal agenda. To me, its all a freak show. They sound like they created this fictional world that is very simple and binary and everything has to go through it. They are the most demeaning people I have ever heard. A young Native American woman got on the line (sorry I dont remember all the names, it was Rush Limbaugh and some other dudes) and was upset that this radio host was defending the Washington Red Skins. Many Native Americans are sick of football teams using their culture as a name or mascot of a sports team. Anyway, this talk radio guy ripped into her for even mentioning it was racist. He slammed her and yelled at her for even trying to raise an objection. Then hung up on her. It was incredible. These guys are abusive assholes. They are also openly ignorant of a HUGE demographic of the United States. I just cannot believe these jerks get paid. They must truly represent a demographic of Americans that are silently fuming. I heard the cop that shot Michael Brown raised more money than Michael Browns family. What does that tell you?
