I was out this morning for a morning walk and lingered around the street markets watching the tough old ladies from the country selling their vegies. While I was there I decided to buy a cold green tea drink from a local quickie mart. So I went in, grabbed the drink off the shelf and went to the counter to be served. I was just about to be served when a tough old lady, with a bent back, standing no taller than 5 feet, shoves past me and plonks a bottle of soju (local liquor) on the counter. She looks up at me with a glimmer in her eye and says something in Korean with a cheeky smile on her face. All I could say was "yes" - there was no arguing with her. Then she was off. A few minutes later it dawned on me, "I just got totally owned by a little, old Korean lady." Ha!
